Jericho (VT) - Charlie Stapleford was all over the place during the Vergennes-Mt. Mansfield game today. Stapleford, who started for Vergennes, pitched a complete game, recording four walks and eight strikeouts. Stapleford also provided offensive production, going two for five with three RBI's. Devin Hayes also had a great day at the plate also hitting in three runs as well. MMU's Luke Dolan, Kohlton Butler, and Greg Gosselin each added a hit in the losing effort. Monte Green took the loss for the Cougars.
South Burlington (VT) - The Green Knights pounded out fifteen runs on twenty hits, shutting out the visiting Falcons. Tommy Fitzgerald, Will Conroy, Cameron Bourbeau, and Charlie Boardman all went three for four. Will Conroy pitched for Rice in the winning effort.
Hinesburg (VT) - Late inning production lifted the Redhawks past Middlebury in Hinesburg 10-2. Davis Mikell hit a two run home run in the sixth inning to right center field. Kyle Stanley received his first win, going four innings, giving up one run, and striking out five Tigers. Taylor Patterson struck out three times, but added an RBI single for Middlebury. Josiah Benoit went six innings in the losing effort.
Bristol (VT) - The BFA-St. Albans scored in the first five innings, capitalizing on five Eagles errors, to win on the road 12-1. Darren Callan led the Bobwhites offensively with two doubles. Nick Driscoll had two hits in the losing effort for Mt. Abraham. Sawyer Kamman only went two innings, while BFA's Ryan Connoe went the whole game.
Burlington (VT) - Hunter Knight's game winning RBI single in the eighth inning, lifted the Seahorses past the Commodores in league play. Burlington scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to seal the win. Justin Sturtevant led the Commodores offensively, getting two hits, and two RBI's. BHS's Travis Cote received the win in relief. Travis Cote took the loss for the Commodores.
St. Johnsbury (VT) - CVU's Rayne Supple one-hit the Hilltoppers over six innings, collecting ten strikeouts, and the win. A scoreless game through four innings, CVU broke through scoring two runs on an error, and another on Dylan Ireland's RBI single in the next inning. Colton Hudson took the loss for St. Johnsbury.
Middlebury (VT) - Mitch Thayer collected a game winning hit, avoiding a potential Laker upset in Middlebury. Sean Callahan gave up six hits, and fanned six in the winning effort. Middlebury's Aaron Smith went two for two, collecting three RB
