Vergennes (VT) - Devin Hayes pitched a complete game this afternoon, shutting down Mt. Abraham 4-0. Hayes only gave up two hits, and fanned ten over seven strong innings. Sawyer Kamman, the opposing pitcher, went six innings, giving up two earned runs on ten hits. Charlie Stapleford of the Commodores had two singles on the day, with an RBI. MAU's Cody Alexander produced a double in the losing effort. Swanton (VT) - A series of late rallies, and key hits by Davis Mikell, Will Potter, and Kirk Fontana gave the Redhawks a 6-4 win at Missisquoi. Kyle Stanley, who pitched for CVU, went six innings, striking out six. Kirk Fontana added a RBI on a pair of singles for the Redhawks. Elijah Eaton had a double and an RBI on the day for the Thunderbirds. MVU's Matt St. Amour pitched a complete game, giving up three runs, and striking out ten. Milton (VT) - Patrick McMackin pitched a complete game for South Burlington, as the Rebels defeated Milton by the score of 8-1. McMackin allowed four hits, and struck out ten. SB's Connor Bradley went three for four with three singles. Luke Covey of Milton went two for three with a single and a double. Patrick Mullins took the loss going five innings, giving up three runs. Hinesburg (VT) - A eight run first inning lifted the Redhawks to a 9-2 home win over North Country. Dylan Ireland pitched a complete game allowing two hits and striking out nine. Rayne Supple went one for two with his first career home run, finishing the day with three runs batted in. Joel Lamarche went three innings, giving up five runs on six hits, and walked eight. Hinesburg (VT) - Key hits by Davis Mikell and Rayne Supple propelled CVU to a 5-3 win over Vergennes. Supple who started for CVU, went four innings giving up two hits. Supple also went four for four with two singles, two triples and an RBI. Michael Danyow went six innings, allowing two earned runs on eleven hits. Wade Steele of Vergennes went two for three with a triple and a single. Middlebury (VT) - Essex scored seven runs over the last three innings to beat Middlebury 10-1. Steve Jurkiewicz threw six innings for Essex, giving up five hits, and fanning six batters. EHS's Justin Ward had a single and a double for the Hornets. Sam Messenger had a double for the Tigers. Middlebury's Josiah Benoit took the loss. Milton (VT) - Elijah Eaton's offensive performance on Thursday, jump started Missisquoi to a 10-4 road win at Milton. Eaton went four for four with three singles and a triple. MVU's Caleb Lothian threw five solid innings, giving up three earned runs on five hits. Jesse Agan of Milton went two for three with two singles. Tyler Lamphere took the loss, going less than five innings, giving up six earned runs. |
